Johnny’s journey started with a deep background in martial arts, which naturally propelled him into the film industry as an elite stunt performer. Through years of dedication and precision, he climbed the ranks to become a go-to Hollywood stunt coordinator and second unit director.



Over the years, he has brought his signature vision to major productions, helping shape the martial arts choreography for the Emmy-nominated series Warrior and orchestrating the complex combat sequences for the sci-fi epic Halo.

With a career spanning more than a decade, Johnny Yang has established himself as one of the industry's most versatile action professionals. From performing complex stunts in major Hollywood productions to coordinating large-scale action sequences for feature films and television, Johnny has earned a reputation for combining technical precision, martial arts expertise, and creative storytelling.


Beginning his career as a stunt performer, Johnny quickly became recognized for his athletic ability and adaptability. His impressive résumé includes work on blockbuster films such as John Wick: Chapter 2, Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Suicide Squad, Skyscraper, Hotel Artemis, Kickboxer: Vengeance, and The Mandalorian, where he contributed to the demanding physical performances audiences have come to expect from today's biggest action productions.


As his career evolved, Johnny expanded into action design and stunt coordination, taking on increasingly significant leadership roles. He has served as Stunt Coordinator, Assistant Stunt Coordinator, Fight Coordinator, and Co-Stunt Coordinator across numerous productions, helping develop action sequences from concept through execution while ensuring performer safety and delivering dynamic on-screen storytelling. His recent coordination credits include Halo, Echo 3, Sniper: Rogue Mission, House Party, Operation Hadal, and the upcoming The Rip.


One of Johnny's standout achievements has been his work on the critically acclaimed series Warrior, where he played an integral role over all three seasons as Assistant Stunt Coordinator, Second Unit Stunt Coordinator, Stunt Co-Coordinator, Second Unit Director, and stunt performer. The show's fast-paced martial arts choreography and cinematic fight sequences earned widespread praise from audiences and the action community alike, showcasing Johnny's ability to blend traditional martial arts with modern stunt filmmaking.


Throughout his career, Johnny has demonstrated an exceptional ability to move seamlessly between performing in front of the camera and leading action teams behind it. His experience spans hand-to-hand combat, wire work, large ensemble action, second-unit directing, and fight choreography, making him a trusted collaborator on productions of every scale.
