Augie Davis and Tim Wong Take on Everest in Apple’s Tenzing

Big things are on the horizon for Augie Davis and Tim Wong, who are both part of the stunt team behind Apple Original Films’ upcoming adventure drama Tenzing.

We’re incredibly proud to see Augie Davis and Tim Wong lending their talents to Tenzing, the upcoming Apple Original Films adventure drama based on the extraordinary true story of the first successful ascent of Mount Everest.
Augie Davis joins the production as Stunt Coordinator, while Tim Wong serves as Stunt Double for Genden Phuntsok, who portrays legendary mountaineer Tenzing Norgay.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jennifer Peedom, Tenzing follows Tenzing Norgay and New Zealand climber Sir Edmund Hillary on the historic 1953 expedition that saw them become the first people confirmed to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
The film brings together an impressive international cast, with Genden Phuntsok as Tenzing Norgay, Tom Hiddleston as Edmund Hillary, Willem Dafoe as expedition leader Colonel John Hunt, Caitríona Balfe as Jill Henderson, and Thinley Lhamo as Dawa Norgay.
For a story built around extreme conditions, physical endurance and one of history’s greatest mountaineering achievements, the stunt team plays an essential role in bringing the scale and danger of the expedition to the screen. We’re thrilled to see Augie and Tim contribute their experience and expertise to such an ambitious production.
Tenzing arrives in select U.S. theaters October 9, 2026, followed by its Apple TV premiere on October 16, 2026.
Congratulations to Augie Davis and Tim Wong — we can’t wait to see this incredible story on the big screen.
