Behind the Action: The Stunt Professionals Bringing Cinematic Chaos to Life

From high-speed vehicle work to brutal fight scenes and massive practical impacts, the stunt world is the unseen force behind many of today’s biggest action films. Proudly representing that world are several Hitz International stunt professionals, whose work helped bring the film’s explosive action to life under an elite leadership team of internationally recognized stunt coordinators and second unit directors.

Leading the action was Karl Van Moorsel, known for his work on major productions including Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, The Suicide Squad, and Extraction. Van Moorsel has built a reputation for large-scale action coordination, vehicle stunts, and high-impact cinematic sequences, earning multiple Taurus World Stunt Award nominations throughout his career.

Working alongside him was Jon Valera, a veteran martial artist and member of the renowned 87Eleven Action Design team. Over more than two decades in Hollywood, Valera has contributed to blockbuster productions such as John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Aquaman, 300, Creed II, and The Expendables. His experience in fight choreography and action directing has made him one of the industry’s most respected names in modern action cinema.

The production also featured the work of Jono Costelloe and Cam Hilts, whose coordination and stunt expertise helped execute the demanding physical performances, precision driving, falls, and impact work required for the film’s action-heavy sequences.

Together, this team of world-class stunt professionals and coordinators created the intensity, realism, and adrenaline that audiences experience on screen — proving once again that behind every unforgettable action scene stands an extraordinary stunt crew.
