The upcoming action thriller Empire City is assembling an impressive stunt and action department, with four Hitz International stunt professionals helping bring the film’s intense sequences to life. Liam Gherlenda, Tim Wong, Steven A. Davis, and Harlan Norris are currently working on the production, contributing their expertise across stunt rigging, fight coordination, driving, and on-screen stunt performance.
Directed by Michael Matthews and starring Gerard Butler and Hayley Atwell, Empire City centers around a hostage crisis inside a New York City skyscraper, combining large-scale action, tactical combat, and high-risk rescue sequences. The film is written by S. Craig Zahler and Brian Tucker and is expected to deliver a gritty, high-intensity style of action filmmaking.
Among the Hitz International members attached to the project is Tim Wong, serving as Supervising Stunt Coordinator. Wong has built a strong reputation within the stunt industry through his work in stunt driving, large-scale action coordination, and practical stunt execution on major productions. Liam Gherlenda joins the team as Key Stunt Rigger, overseeing the complex rigging systems required for falls, wire work, and impact sequences. Steven A. Davis serves as Fight Coordinator, helping choreograph the film’s close-quarters combat and physical action scenes, while Harlan Norris contributes as part of the stunt performer team executing the demanding practical work on set.

Filming for Empire City took place in Australia, with production wrapping in early 2026. The combination of practical stunts, fight choreography, tactical action, and large-scale rescue sequences has already generated anticipation among action film fans. With an experienced stunt department behind it, the film is shaping up to be one of the standout action thrillers to watch.
